Sherab Tashi

Born in Golmud, to a Taijinar family in about the 1920s in the Mongolian region of Kokonoor, Amdo, Tibet. He studied and lived in Kumbum and Dre-pung monasteries in Tibet. Arrived in Nepal in the 1940s. After he became a lay person and married a Tibetan, he moved to Darjeeling in India. Since his wife died in about year 2000, he became a monk again and has been living in Ghoom Yidgha Choeling Monastery. (For Ghoom Monastery, see the story of Sherab Gyatso).
